Trail Running in Nepal

The Annapurna Circuit in Nepal truly is a trail runner’s dream, with untold miles of trails that wind through valleys, along ridges, and over mountains.

While trekking the AC this winter over 2 weeks, I managed to get out for a run every couple of days to explore the trails above the main trekking route a little further. That is, up until about 4,000 metres when running became a little difficult.

The trails featured in this video are as follows:

  1. Above Ngawal: http://www.movescount.com/moves/move23628629
  2. Manang to Khangsar: http://www.movescount.com/moves/move23628642
  3. Above Manang: http://www.movescount.com/moves/move23628644
  4. Pokhara to Sarangkot: http://www.movescount.com/moves/move23628665

Stay tuned for the documentary on our trek which should be done in a few months, and check out photos from our trip on Instagram. Header photo by Jane Osborne.
