Once every year or two when the conditions are just right, the falls completely freeze over. It’s such a beautiful sight! Check it out in my latest video on YouTube (link in profile). 📽

Trail running apparel can be found in a number of Trail running apparel can be found in a number of different materials; some synthetic, some natural, and many a blend of both.

In my latest video, I talk about the pros and cons of natural fabrics such as wool and down compared to synthetic alternatives, as well as how to properly care for these different materials to ensure you can get the best performance and longest life possible from them. Our fourth and last day at McGillivray Pass Lodge Our fourth and last day at McGillivray Pass Lodge was again one full of powder! Visibility was limited throughout the better part of the day, so we mostly stuck to the trees.

Another big day of climbing to tire out the legs before flying back to Pemberton the next morning. Good thing it had been snowing so heavily, because I’m not sure we’d have left much for the next group!

Clear skies as we climbed from the valley, heavy winds as we made our way along the ridge, and snow with limited visibility for our bootpacked up a notch. Another big day of climbing and powder runs!

We rewarded ourselves with a sauna back at the lodge as fresh snow continued to accumulate. ❄️

We had to negotiate a tricky crack in the snow on our way up and over the pass towards Star Mountain and a feature we we’d ski called the ‘Middle Finger’. That salmon back at the lodge for dinner sure hit the spot!
On Tuesday morning, we jumped in the helicopter in On Tuesday morning, we jumped in the helicopter in Pemberton to make the short flight north to the remote lodge in Mcgillivray Pass where we’d be staying for the next four nights.

After a quick avalanche safety refresher from our guide, we were on our way for some afternoon backcountry skiing laps with nothing but clear skies above us and powder under our skis.

We enjoyed après in the sun at the lodge, followed by an amazing dinner, before settling in to our yurts to prepare for a much longer day of skiing the next morning. #whitecapalpine
