The polar vortex that hit Canada last week reporte The polar vortex that hit Canada last week reportedly sent the entire country below freezing at the same time. It would have been a great weekend to be an ice climber! Maybe I’ll consider taking it up next year.

For now I’ll just enjoy all this fresh powder that came with the recent storms, especially once the avalanche risk gets down to a more acceptable level.

The Rockwall Trail is a 55 km route in the Canadia The Rockwall Trail is a 55 km route in the Canadian Rockies that follows a massive limestone cliff wall. While it’s possible to run the trail in a day, we decided to fastpack the route over two days in mid-August.
